Owner and Principal Architect of Studio West Architects, Stephanie Wichner Schubert, AIA, is known as a leader in her industry for creating boutique environments through collaborative design. She has committed her architectural studio to demystifying the architectural and design process, its planning, and its execution in order to help clients make better business decisions and grow their brand.  As a hospitality design expert with over ten years in the restaurant and retail industries, Stephanie established Studio West Architects in 2015 to focus on small businesses and first-time business owners.

Stephanie takes a deliberate and yet natural planning approach to the design process by guiding and collaborating with clients to create their perfect space.  She believes that this type of approach makes a difference in how the client experiences the design.  In 2017, Stephanie was awarded the “Salon of Distinction” Award for Base Salon by Salon Today magazine. The salon project was featured for its thoughtful design, rich textures, and the welcoming yet stylish environment that is true to its Chicago West Loop neighborhood location. In the years prior to Studio West Architects, Stephanie’s past projects included Siena Tavern, STK, Celeste, Imperial Lamian, and Gap.

Stephanie graduated with a bachelor’s degree in architecture from the University of Minnesota. She is also a professional member of the American Institute of Architects, CREW Chicago, the Illinois Restaurant Association, and the International Interior Design Association. She is licensed in Illinois, Wisconsin, New York and Colorado.
